If you’re searching for the trendy people, look no further than the Shore Club. This venue is jiving with funky tunes, abundantly stocked bars and delicious pizzas, all of which the Manly stylers will happily line up for on a Saturday night. During the day, the view is second to none with a sweeping panorama of one of Sydney’s most popular beaches. At night, the Shore Club heats up with a crowd that’s eager to get their mitts around a Sauvignon Blanc and a slice of gourmet pizza. The Shore Club’s menu is short and to the point, which is perfect when out with a group of friends who want to grab a bite to eat. For the best way to get an assorted mix, pick a few of the favourite pizzas, add a salad and Bob’s your uncle. You have the perfect accompaniment to a great venue and a top night out.
The head chef hails directly from Italy and has a certain way with the old pizza pie, possessing the skill to twirl two pizza bases, one on each hand, at the same time – a sure sign he knows his way around the wood-fired oven. Each base is made out of unbleached organic stone-ground flour and is stretched to order to ensure a satisfying crust. The toppings are as fresh as can be and are generously piled high upon them. Sink your teeth into a slice laden with prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella, rocket and shaved parmesan. The Bianco comes with potato, Italian sausage, mozzarella and rosemary and goes swimmingly with a baby spinach salad with pancetta, Spanish onion, avocado and wholegrain mustard dressing. Plus, on Sundays you can grab yourself a bargain with $9 pizzas served all day long.
