In the case of CLUB SWANS, bigger is better.This club, situated in downtown Kings Cross, has four levels boasting a myriad of bars, eating areas, terraces and function and gaming rooms. If you head up the stairs to level one, you’ll find Kellys bistro, named after the Sydney Swans star midfielder, Paul Kelly. You’ll be surprised at the quality of the menu, especially chef Michael Milkovic’s signature slow-roasted lamb shoulder which is served with a generous helping of mashed baked pumpkin and then drizzled with jus. Back by popular demand is the Beefsteak and Guinness Pie with hand-cut chips and pea salsa but you’ll also notice that the range of classic and contemporary meals is plentiful.
Understandably, the Sydney Swans away games are hugely popular events at the club and the kitchen swaps to a stadium menu which is able to serve great food quickly to hungry fans. However, if you are just popping in with friends for a drink and something to nibble on, the snack and chat menu is available seven days a week and includes tasty sharing plates such as pork and ginger spring rolls with chilli lime dipping sauce and the house specialty of chilli, cheddar cheese and honey bread. The versatility of the kitchen is extensive, proving that nothing is set in stone and nothing is too hard when it comes to Kellys. From sitting back on the leather lounges and listening to the live entertainment on a Saturday night to clutching a burger in one hand, a cold one in the other while your eyes are glued to the game, Kellys is ideal for a magnitude of occasions.

HISTORY
The Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club was founded in 1987 to establish a Club for the encouragement and promotion of Australian Rules Football and other athletic sports in the City of Sydney and for participation in competitions of the Australian Football League including through provision of financial support those objects in that league. In 2004 the Club endorsed an association with the Sydney Swans as their official Social Club and in 2007 the Club underwent an intensive renovation and facelift with the Club being renamed CLUB SWANS.
